Melting Alaskan Glaciers Series - Beautiful but scary how they have changed over time!
I created this series of digital images in my digital art style for the sole purpose of helping educate and communicate about the world's big climate change problems so that others might take action as well before it's too late.
I am allowing anyone with a need to communicate about the environment, the rights to use any of this series of images on this page at no cost and I am not making any money from this endeavor. This idea seemed like the perfect use on my art style. I usually shoot my own images for these pieces where I combine shots taken at different times of the same scene, but had to source and get rights to separate flat past images to properly show the impact time has had on these once large glaciers!
I digitally manipulated and combined the supplied separate images to create each piece in my style. Legally, all of the credits and source MUST appear on all items published online or print exactly as they appear on these pieces. If using one or more of these images, you must also email me a copy of what you do and agree that you hold Randy Richards not liable for any issues whatsoever resulting from using my artwork.
Our world is changing and not for the better!
According to NASA Research, 97% of scientists agree that greenhouse gases, both natural and created by humans are the main cause for climate change and global warming.
Some results of greenhouse gases are; melting ice caps causing rising sea levels & flooding, global warming, droughts, wild fires, super hurricanes and much more...
NASA reports that temperatures have risen 1.7 degrees fahrenheit linked directly to 13.3% of arctic ice reduction per decade. That is why I started with this series of icebergs that have disappeared over this past century.
